Qualmi

Another of the native american tribes, those of the lynx tribe are solitary and questing. They are fascinated by riddles and make odd companions when they deign to associate with non-animal companions. Despite being hermits, the Qualmi are generous and usually kind, willing to provide for an animal (or even person) for months, if necessary, and if the Qualmi enjoys the company. The price, however, is the constant questioning and curiosity of the lynx, whose queries may not even make immediate sense. A companion's own inquisitiveness may be given seemingly nonsensical answers or simply silence, as suits the Qualmi at the time. They are quite friendly with the Garou and particularly the Uktena tribe with which they share a deep friendship. Their rage is slow to build and they are rarely violent, any combat resulting in a flurry of teeth and claws, followed by a hasty retreat as soon as possible. Instead, the Qualmi battle their enemies with misdirection and tricks and are rumored to be master magicians, though they are not known for showing off. It should be noted that the Qualmi, in keeping with their enigmatic demeanor, usually only appear to be solitary. Most usually have a large variety of companion animals who are willing to provide both information and defense.
